Watching the trailer with Jake Lloyd in the AMC in Woodland Hills, CA

Jake Lloyd has officially become the coolest kid in the universe. Read this report and if can say, "Boy I'm Glad I'm Not Jake Lloyd!" Well... you ain't a geek, and that ain't a good thing.

I know this isn't exactly a big scoop or anything... but a little interesting, I guess. My friend and I went to the AMC in Woodland Hills, CA to catch the trailer screening.. of course. When we went inside the theater, I noticed that one row of seats was masked off. Before the lights when out.. a whole group of people walked in and took those seats. Masked seats are usually reserved for VIPs and likes, but I didn't notice anyone.. but then this little kid came in. It just clicked in my mind that it had to be Jake Lloyd cause I heard he lived in the area. A friend of mine who works at Bristol Farms says his family comes in all the time wearing Star Wars jackets, hats,....

Anyways, he's a hyper little guy. He kept yellin' "Star Wars! Star Wars!" until it came on. His family stayed for the movie (Meet Joe Black) leaving the theater once or twice to catch the trailer in other theaters, then coming back.

While the crowd was waiting for the trailer to roll again after the movie, I moved up to get a better seat and ended sitting right next to him. Man! He kept crawling around the seats, jumping over the rows, mumbling, waiting for the trailer! I asked him if he was Jake Lloyd and he answered with an enthusiastic "YES!" and then gave me a high five. He then said, "It was the funnest two years ever" or something like that, it was loud in the theater.

Afterwards outside, a group of about dozen gathered around him asking for autographs and asking him and his parents questions. They said they saw the entire movie and was simply "amazing... nothing like you've seen before." His sister, which looks around the same age, plays Princess Ellie (don't know about that spelling).

I've attached a JPG of his autograph (yea I know they're REALLY cheesy.. so what?). On a side note, I thought it was really funny that a theater of science fiction nerds and Star Wars geeks would sit a through a 3 hour Brad Pitt movie to catch 2.20 minute trailer!
