Meanwhile, Ferdinand the Bull, stopped and sniffed the following coolness out for us. Take a gander, a ton of coolness for sure. Go on Ferdinand, you've earned your break, go sit under that old oak tree and roam in the glorius aroma of the field.
Stephen King's script fpr Desolation was sold to New Line cinema for an undisclosed amount. Involves a mining town of Desperation, NV...good vs evil...supernatural madness reigning...typical King. :D
Janus Cercone sold on assignment to 20th Cent FOX and producer Jack Brodsk for the third movie in the "Romancing the Stone" trilogy (WWOOOOHOOOOOOOOO).
Brief Star Trek Nine news Frakes directing etc etc. They're going to be doing a LOT more location shooting this one. There's another bridge scene being built in good ole Paramount studios. There'a also a HUGE rock cliff face with all sorts of dwellings (like native american type deals...pueblos or whatever they're called) being designed.
Spy Break. To highlight what Ferdinand said about the location stuff, an agent in the world of Canada sent in the following. He'll be called HUCKLEBERRY!!!
(A friend of mine who works in a bank in North Vancouver said that she spotted Rick Berman, Michael Piller, Patrick Stewart and Jonathan Frakes scouting locations for the 9th Star Trek film in Lynn Canyon Park in North Vancouver, BC when she was hiking there last week. I will try and supply photos of the locations they scouted (it is all over the local news here that they were in town).
NOW BACK TO FERDINAND.....
As I mentioned to Glen...a B5 (Babylon 5) movie is being negotiated at WB.
Godzilla stuff (a lot of which, if not all you prob know). The new Godzilla movie (whose new trailer rocks) is part of a trilogy of movies (I dunno who the other monsters are in the other yet tho). This bad boy is using everything from the old man with the cigar in the suit to extensive motion capture and CGI key framed sequences. Did I mention it looks cool? Dave Arnold did the original score...it has a LARGE orchestral score.
As you said earlier, I shall reiterate. Dean Devlin and the Wong Brothers (Glen Morgan and James Wong) are going to be remaking Fantastic Voyage. I think you incorrectly stated they created X-Files...Chris Carter created it, but M&W did a lot of the more memorable chars.
The 13th Floor is also being done by Dean Devlin and Sony. Involves alternate reality and is currently in prepro.
