The Lone Jedi sent in the following about Modesty Blaise. I don't know how true it is, because my Blaise contact's email address was destroyed in that hidieous e-mail death that I told yall bout, a ways back. But anyway, this is what the Lone Jedi said, take it with salt till I've confirmed it for yall...
From what I know, Modesty Blaise will be directed by Luc Besson. Tarantino was not interested anymore, so he thought about Luc. Luc Besson's take on the story will be a bit different compared to Quentin's project. This show will be kinda based on Nikita, with many more "sexy" scenes. A lot of sex and nudity on this one. Apparently, that's why Uma Thurman won't be Modesty. She was not too interested by too much nudes scenes. So, at the moment, Natasha Henstridge will be Modesty Blaise.
