Well, I really liked RUSH HOUR, but instead of a sequel, I would rather see the pair in another film all together. Instead of doing another RUSH HOUR, why not do something like ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN. Just imagine.. NEW LINE owns Chucky, Freddie and Jason. Chucky needs Chris Tucker's body... and hilarity ensues. Ok ok ok... maybe that would be horrible, but if they do do a sequel, let's have it not follow the exact pattern of RUSH HOUR, instead take those characters into a John Woo universe of Hong Kong. Turn up the coolness factor about 1000 percent. That's my opinion anyway.. I'm sure you have yours... that's what TALK BACK is for... talk away...
I had the opportunity to speak with Jackie Chan yesterday in Beverly Hills, and one of the little tidbits he told me was that there DEFINITELY WILL be a Rush Hour 2, tentatively planned to go before the lens in late 1999 or early 2000 (due to Jackie and Chris Tucker's schedules). He even hinted at a possibility of Rush Hour 3 if a second film is successful (I think he was just speaking off the top of his head, I don't think there are any official plans at this time).
Jackie also recently completed two documentaries, "Jackie Chan: My Life" and Jackie Chan: My Stunts." No word on distribution yet.
