I am – Hercules!!
The CW on Tuesday held a “Veronica Mars” Television Critics Association event with Kristen Bell and Austin's own Rob Thomas. Ign.com (the “g” stands for gaming, I think) posted a handy transcript.
Among the revelations:
* Sheriff Lamb lives.
* Thomas regrets the season-two confusion.
* There will not be two concurrent mysteries this year (as there were last season with the Logan/bridge and the Veronica/bus stories).
* The third season will kick off with an "unbroken" nine-episode arc. If the season goes to 22 episodes, these will be followed by seven- and six-episode arcs.
* Tina Majorino has been promoted to series regular, and will attend UC Sunnyd ... er, Hearst College with Veronica, Logan, Wallace and Dick.
* Wallace will room with one Stosh Piznarski. Mac will room with a Nelly Furtado fan named Parker.
* Stephen King almost played a "crazy sociology professor" in 3.3.
* The "personal" arcs "will not start and stop according to those mystery arcs."
* Veronica will continue to live at home.
* Charisma Carpenter will appear in season three "at least once."
* Thomas was so unsure about The CW picking up "Mars" that he went on job interviews.
* Kristen Bell wasn't nervous about getting picked up until "7th Heaven" was unexpectedly picked up, "because I thought they took our spot."
* Duncan Kane will not be back, says Thomas. (I deem this a lie.)
* Thomas was no fan of "Profiler" but loved "Action."
* Loose season-two plot threads will be wrapped up by 3.2.
