HBO held a Wednesday presentation for the Television Critics Association, and it looks like:
* the next new episode of “The Sopranos” has been pushed to March;
* there are no plans for a third season of “Rome”;
* there’s a possibility “The Wire” could be back for season five; and
* “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (as reported here long ago) will probably be back for season six next year.
Here's how I gather the HBO hourlongs will roll out over the next 18 months:
AUTUMN 2006: “The Wire” 4.x.
WINTER 2007: “Rome” 2.x.
SPRING 2007: “The Sopranos” 6.x Vol. 2.
SUMMER 2007: “Big Love” 2.x.
SUMMER 2007: “sexLife” 1.x (the new relationship drama about couples in therapy from “Roseanne” vet Cynthia Mort).
AUTUMN 2007: “True Blood” 1.x (the new vampire drama from “Six Feet Under” creator Alan Ball).
AUTUMN 2007: “John From Cincinnati” 1.x (the new Hawaii surfing drama from “Deadwood” creator David Milch).
