Yahoo Movies has posted the trailer for the Bruckheimer produced, Tony Scott directed DEJA VU.
It's about a law enforcement dude (Denzel Washington) who attempts to scuttle an impending crisis via "deja vu".
There as an episode of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION like this.
It was called "Cause and Effect", in which the Enterprise is repeatedly destroyed - and its crew eventually stops the cycle of catastrophe by recognizing clues via deja vu (and leaving themselves clues). I'm sure there are other examples of this conceit as well.
Nonetheless, Scott is an interesting director (even though I find his films to be very hit or miss). And, the script here is co-written by Terry Rossio, while Ted Elliot serves as an Executive Producer on the project. If these names sound familiar, 'tis 'cause the duo have previously worked with Bruckheimer as scribes on the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trilogy.
