Harry here with a tip from Ryan about where to grab THE FACULTY trailer.
When the song says the word, "BOOKS" that's me teaching my little film class with all the hands raised. Also if you see the scene of Elijah walking into camera with a strap across his white shirt, over his shoulder wearing a white shirt and a strap is QUINT. Then you can also make out Dannie (Sister Satan) in two shots. One is the opening shot of the front of the school. Alongside the stairs she's leaning there (yeah those nonsensical squares). Then in a shot where the dialogue is "Is this going to be on the test" you'll see a fella three rows back with his arm raised, that's Josh Hartnett (Zeke in the movie) and across from him is my sister.
Of course who really cares? MAN, I'm so jazzed to see this trailer and howl with laughter at me teaching.... hahahahaa, if my teachers back in Seymour, Texas see this, they'll crack up in hysterics. I'm sorry folks, I'll admit it, I am so completely biased on this film it ain't even funny. I loved this experience. I mean, I... me... Harry got to be in science-fiction horror film!!! I can not possibly express how cool that is for me. When I was in BALLAD OF THE SAD CAFE and I saw that in theaters 5-6 years ago, I thought it was too cool, but nothing compares mentally with being in a science-fiction horror film. I could care less who directed it, who stars in it, if it was any good or not. I mean for cris sake I have a good 1500 sci-fi and horror films from TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE and METEOR MONSTER to 2001 and STAR WARS. Can you imagine how cool it would be to be in something like PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE... or say be one of the people squished by the tentacle in IT CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA. And I can't imagine that feeling ever going away. I mean, in Atlanta when I was talking to Ray Harryhausen and I told him I had seen the new MIGHTY JOE YOUNG film, his eyes lit up, and he turned into a damn 11 year old and said, "REEEAALLY am I still in it? Did I make the cut?" "How about the scene when I'm on my hands and knees with Terry crawling?!!?" You see, it's like that.
That's why I put up notices for EXTRA calls when I hear about them, because I like to pass that feeling around. There is literally nothing cooler than to sit in an auditorium and look up on screen and see yourself. It's not an ego thing, it's a.... bewilderment thing. I think for a long time there was a fascination with being on TV, but with as many channels and video cameras and stuff... well that's gotten less exciting (for me at least).
And as for reviews that get sent in... Do not think for an instant I won't put up the negative ones. I will. But so far, I haven't gotten one. I can't wait for someone to make an issue of my stilted line delivery. Hee hee hee...
