Here's just a brief report from the set of MAN ON THE MOON that Milos Forma / Jim Carrey futuro-Oscar race film of 1999. Seems a lot of people are anxious about this one, I have to agree. Milos doesn't do sloppy work. On to the report... But first, let me say to be in that audience would be... sooooooo cooooooool. That last performance was a bit of legend, and well it won't be quite the same, but I bet it'll be entertaining as hell!
Hi Harry, Kessler here. Why Kessler, cause I'm smooth as silk, that's why. I'm a recent transplant to the Golden Coast, and delving into the film business (yes, it really is a business!). I come by way of the cold northland of Wisconsin and will be contributing on occasion as subject matter dictates. Why begin now? Well, I learned of a VERY cool opportunity for film geeks/lovers to participate in the new Jim Carrey Andy Kaufan bio-pic, Man On the Moon. There is an open invite for those in SoCal to become the "audience" for the final scene in which Jim performs Andy's last concert set in NY city in the 80's. Reservations are required so call (323) 653-4105 and ask for Kathy. The dates are the 28th and 29th, 9:30am at the LA Theater, and upscale NY dress is required. It's a smaller theater, so call quick. Lunch and snacks are provided, as well as free parking and various prizes. This is truly is a special event(at least for me)to see how some very talented people (Forman, Carrey, Cort Love) work. I'm thinking about using gobs gel for that Mike Douglas "greed is good" look, or on second thought perhaps I'll use the Fahrley Bros method. Either way, it will kick ass. That is all for now, I AM OUT!
Kessler
