Around the nation Tuesday night, at Radio station sponsored screenings, geeks like you will be seeing the next cool GODZILLA trailer. So keep your eyes peeled on Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood this week for it, and if ya find it on the web, let me know, I can't wait to have this one playing over and over again!!! What is about to follow is the description of that trailer, if you want to remain virginal about the trailer, then stop reading because Mr. Fishing With Steve (strange name) is about to spill it all. I'll be seeing this Tonight in Hollywood hopefully, so at about 7:30 face the West and tune in for geek out vibes emanating from my forehead, and about 1300 viewers feeling the same way!!! Of course those vibes are nothing compared to the ones at the end of Starship Troopers!!! Here ya go...
It was on a screening of Starship Troopers tonight. The trailer starts off with an old guy walking on a pier in the rain. He takes out a fishing pole and casts it off into the ocean. Two old guys start to heckle him teling him he wont catch anything in this weather, then...the lure goes under. It comes up again, and then back down again really fast. Then the ocean bellows with activity as a large wave comes rushing towards the pier. This tidal wave is huge! The words "From the Makers of Independence Day" appear on the screen. Then the man starts running and the pier behind him gets destroyed as he barely escapes. Pier pieces fly everywhere as the wave hits. The something rises out of the water. All we see is a HUGE eye looking at the man. It blinks once, then the words "Size Does Matter" appear on the screen. Finally, a shot that looks alot like something out of "Twister" comes up. It's a shot of a view from inside a car looking at a giant Godzilla foot crush a car and move out of frame. This one shot is fast. There was alot of rain and I think another car crashes trying to swerve away from the foot. Everyone cheered at the end when the word "Godzilla" appeared. You also get that roar again too. .
