The following is a rumor from the Far East, I'm trying to firm this up. The project belonged to Terry Gilliam last I heard, and I very much hope movement is going ahead on it, because quite frankly it is one of my favorite script reads thus far. Visually it will electrify everyone that loves the phantasmagorical worlds of Terry Gilliam. And we know who we are. Originally this project was attached to Nick Cage, but then the whole Superman thing came up, then Bringing Out The Dead, etc etc etc. So is he off the project, are the people below on it? I don't know. I don't know which of these two would be playing the title character, but either one could play the part. I would hope for Robin as the title character with Jim as the heavy. But I have no idea. If you know what's up with the project, drop me a line. Until it is confirmed take with a bag of salt.
anyway, i want to share a piece of info with you which i'm not sure whether you've already posted.
From a lunch meeting, i had gathered that Mutual (the company that produced 12 Monkeys) has another big film on the way. it's called the Defective Detective. AND so far, they have two major stars attached to it, namely Robin Williams and Jim Carrey!!!! no news about the director yet.
for your info!
keep up the good work
IronMan :)
