HISTORY OF VIOLENCE writer Josh Olson to helm UNTIL GWEN!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a bit of info on John Olson, the talented young man who adapted the graphic novel A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE into a great script for David Cronenberg to make into a great movie. He's now adapting a short story by Dennis Lehane called UNTIL GWEN. Not only adapting, but he's slipping into the director's chair as well.

The story is described as a dark crime drama about a con man whose son was raised on the edges of society, without a social security card, etc. Things start spinning out of the father's control when the son falls for a woman who helps him find his own identity. The short story was published in BEST AMERICAN SHORT STORIES 2005 as well as BEST AMERICAN MYSTERY STORIES 2005, a first in the publishing world.

Josh Olson won lots of trust with me with his work on A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE. Anything he's doing is okay by me. Can't wait to see how he turns out as a director, either.
