Well congrats to GODS AND MONSTERS and Ian MacKellen. But the big news is this psychotic bit about the Farrelly Brothers uniting Jim Carrey and Woody Allen in an upcoming flick of theirs. That sounds like it would be pretty friggin cool. If you are in Spain during the Cataluña festival that I have info on... and you happen to see Guillermo Del Toro... Tell him, "Harry is watching you!" Then run.
The 46th edition of San Sebastian (Spain) film festival ended two days ago and you should know that 'Gods and Monsters' has had great reviews and everybody loved it. It has won the special prize of the jury and Ian MacKellen won the ' Concha de plata ' for the best actor. Farrelli brothers were there to present 'There´s something about Mary' and to talk about their new project with the press "it will be a movie about two siamese brothers linked by their liver". Peter and Bobby Farrelli also said that they will reunite Jim Carrey and ( hold on!!) Woody Allen but I´m not sure if that will happen in the "siamese" flick or in any other project. For those who don´t believe that Allen would want to work with Carrey and Farrelli bros., they say "he called us". Harry this info is completly true it´s been taken from: ABC (newspaper), Cadena 100, cadena COPE (radio) and Canal Plus (TV).
Harry from october 8th to 17th, Sitges (a small city in Cataluña, you know where Barcelone is) will host (again) the XXXI edition of Cataluña international film festival. To get your attention I´ll tell you that the fest logo is (has always been) a picture of King Kong ( yes the old one, your all time favourite movie) trying to catch some airplanes, because it´s specialiced in sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. Some films they´ll see are Small soldiers, The new rose hotel, Revenant, Antz, Trance, Out of sight, the pianist, Halloween H2O, Apt Pupil, the hole and many many others (ie. a retrospective to Roger Corman career). Although you have seen most of them there are always surprises and news so call your spies in Cataluña (north of Spain), or in the south of France to report you.
Mario
