Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with an update on one Mr. Steven Katz and a project he wrote called WIND CHILL. I'm a huge fan of SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE, which Mr. Katz wrote, and am really looking forward to seeing what a full blown horror film out of him will look like.
Revolution Studios is producing the film and they just signed two young actors for the leads... One I'm not familiar with, a girl named Emily Blunt, who seems to be most well known for her indie film work and for appearing on the TV show EMPIRE. The other lead appeared in one of my favorite films of '05. The fella's name is Ashton Holmes and he played Viggo's son in A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE.
The flick is about a pair of college students who are going home for the holidays whose car breaks down on a stretch of road... Apparently this stretch of road has some bad mojo and everybody who has ever died on it starts to mess with these two poor little kids. CRIMINAL director, Gregory Jacobs is helming the flick. I dodged CRIMINAL after hearing it was a shitty remake of a great movie with a great cast... Hopefully he makes a creepy movie. That premise could go into the toilet or be the setting for something really damn frightening. I trust Katz, so now it's up to Jacobs. What do you folks think?
