Variety and 20Th Century Fox Confirm THE PHANTOM MENACE

Well Variety today confirmed the news on the STAR WARS website that the title of George Lucas' next installment in the Star Wars saga is indeed THE PHANTOM MENACE. Meanwhile fans have found out that the name 'THE PHANTOM MENACE' has roots in an old Golden Age Hawkman comic. This of course, most likely has nothing whatsoever to do with why this is the title. But wouldn't we all like to know what 'the phantom menace' looks like. Robogeek says when he hears the title, he pictures a man running around in a purple cloak laughing into the night leaving dead policemen in his wake. I think Robogeek... ummm needs to get out.

So like it or not fans, this is the title... of the moment. I like it, some others like it, others are getting used to it, and Hallenbeck, he thinks it is the worst title in the long nasty history of turkey titles. Oh well, ya can't please everyone.
