Well we've seen the trailer with the cute morphing bits and the anger football goofiness. Sorta like stretching out the football sequence in FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH to a feature, but does it work? Here's a very brief review of the film. If you've seen it, let me know...
Hey Harry, it's KidHendrix. I just saw a rough, but complete, cut of The Waterboy on video. I thought it was a very funny movie. I liked it much better than The Wedding Singer, which I also enjoyed. Adam Sandler is very good, and the supporting cast is great. But Kathy Bates stands out the most. Her performance was extremely entertaining. There were also some great cameos, including College Football Hall of Famer Lynn Swann and former Saturday Night Live cast member Rob Schneider. I'd recommend that every Adam Sandler fan see this movie, though you don't have to be a Sandler fan to enjoy it. It works on many levels, and should do very well in the box office. Who knows, it may win an MTV Movie Award. It's that kind of movie.
