DIMENSION is set to distribute Corey Yuen's DEAD OR ALIVE video game flick!

Hey folks, Harry here... Most of you know I'm not much of a 'gamer' - I kinda tuned out to the world of games around the time that the Mario Brothers had their second adventure. However, my nephew has been dragging me into the game world kicking and screaming... and it's very distrubing that the 5 year old kid is better at the games than me. In fact - it's humbling, but then the controller is intuitive to him - and to me - it is a soul sucking abomination. I want my joystick and single button please. heh. Having said that - the new video game INFECTED for the PSP I've found quite a bit of fun. But killing zombies at Christmas... is kinda hard to resist. It's become my fave PSP game I have so far. That said, I've never played DEAD OR ALIVE, so I don't really know the "plot" of the game - and certainly DIMENSION is interested in talent at a level above Uwe Boll for their Video Game adaptations. They got Paul W.S. Anderson on CASTLEVANIA (I liked that game) and now Corey Yuen on DEAD OR ALIVE. Apparently it was shot in CHINA starring: Devon Aoki, Eric Roberts, Jaime Pressly, Matthew Marsden and a bunch of others I don't really know. It completely has a video game film pedigree with the producers behind RESIDENT EVIL and HOUSE OF THE DEAD films behind this one. It is supposed to be released next fall.

Frankly right now - there's just two Video Game projects that I'm interested in at any serious sort of level. The HALO film and SILENT HILL film. Both of those are being treated as real interesting films. I'm hearing hushed rumors about the director of HALO being in New Zealand right now and a start date of around June/July of next year. But till I confirm the story, I'm just going to have to sit on it. But if true, it's geek nirvana. But in the meanwhile - this is the latest vid game film set to be served on the big screen!
