Aronofsky thinking about swatting some BLACK FLIES for Paramount!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a little tidbit on what fan favorite Darren Aronofsky is up to while THE FOUNTAIN wraps up and figures out when it's going to come out for sure. It seems Paramount has picked up Shannon Burke's novel BLACK FLIES, about an EMT in Harlem, before the novel has even found a publisher and they want Aronofsky to helm it. Negotiations are currently underway, so more details are sure to come. I need to know a little more about Burke's novel before I can give an opinion on Aronofsky's involvement, but working Aronofsky is good no matter what. Now they just need to hurry up and release THE FOUNTAIN!!!
