Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a look at a couple video diaries that have hit today. The first is for the upcoming KING KONG. I'm addicted to Kongisking.net and these diaries have been an amazing glimpse into the making of the film. I have to tell ya', as someone who spent a good amount of time on the set of KONG, these diaries are so right on the mark in terms of the atmosphere and the talent on display down in Wellington. I look at these and it feels like I was there for those days as well, you know? I've especially loved the post production segments, watching the editing, scoring and the technical aspects of bringing that big ape to life. This new diary is all about Andy Serkis' motion capture work and how they're using it to give Kong that humanity behind the eyes and subtle facial tics. It's the first of a two-parter, but you get lots of looks at rough Kong animation!
