Something Fishy about Jim Carrey...

Next up we have a look at the remake of THE INCREDIBLE MR LIMPET!!! Oh Joy... And this courtesy of The Shakiest Gunslinger in the West...

I write this having absolutely no recollection of the old Limpet tv series or any other movies, but imagining Jim Carey in this script made me giggle nonstop.

Opens in a Nutty Proffesser type manner, and shows Jim Carey's character, Larry Limpet, experimenting with a powerful new solution with the ability to turn it's user into part fish. Larry Limpet shows that all he ever wanted his whole life was to be a fish. During a hilarious scene when Carey deomonstrates his new potion, with himself in a giant fish tank, and it dosen't work. Everyone laughs him off, and he's followed by the film's bad guy, Dr. Malle. He proposes a heat ray that will puncture a hole into the ocean's floor, leading to the discovery of a giant sub-ocean. He too is laughed off the stage.

Extremely depressed, Limpet runs toward the ocean, only to find that the potion, had worked!!! He turns into a fish, and swims away yelling "I'm a fish, I'm a fish!!!" (Here's where i don't know whether it'll go animated, or computer, or puppets, or what, but expect a completely UNserious manner about it, we still see Limpet's features on his fish, which also wears glasses) Limpet becomes part of an underwater world, befriending a blowfish and shrimp, and falls in love with an angelfish. His defense mechanism as a fish is a deafaning honk that scares the hell out of other fish, and breaks windows as well. He discovers there really is a sub-ocean that's been guarded for years by the fish, as their last resort.

(THE CONCLUSION STUFF IS DELETED TO PROTECT THE INTEGRITY AND SUSPENSE OF THIS EARTH SHATTERING STORY!!!)

I think this will be one hell of a movie if they get Jim Carey's Fish's expressions down right. It's almost as silly as Austin Powers, so don't expect any serious Jim Carrey stuff.
