Who won those NIGHTMARE and Disney collectables'

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with the results of that cool DISNEY/NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS collectables contest. If you remember, these sculptures by David Kracov were up for grabs in two different contests. The first contest was for the Artist Proof of Jack and the Sleigh, limited to 25 pieces worldwide and valued at $2,500. This was held in the form of a lottery at Kracov's website. He got over 6,000 entries and has just released to me the lucky winner.

Here is what the lucky winner won:

And the winner is...

Chris Yambar from Youngstown, Ohio!

Congratulations, Chris! You're a one in six thousand kinda guy! Expect an email confirmation and a beautiful piece of art to show off to your friends!

The second contest was actually a bit trickier than entering your name in a random draw. I required entrants to come up with the name and back story for a long lost 8th Dwarf. I said that I would accept both Disney sweet or entries that'd make Walt spin in his grave. Guess which one I got more of.

Now I got almost 250 entries to this contest ranging from the filthy (Felcher the Dwarf) to the political (Rovey and Spinner). The top 2 most popular entries were Horny (11 total) and Sleazy (10 total).

I narrowed it down to 4 entries and had to converse with Kracov to pick the final 2. The first place winner is taking home this beauty:

And the winning entry for Goofy is "Boxclocke" with this one for the inventive way of satirizing Disney corporate politics:

Hey Quint, I got a dwarf idea:

GREEDY.

He's a bald, smiling, sleazy sycophant brought in to fill a power vacuum created when Doc (ostensibly the leader) dies tragically. At first, all is well: they’re mining more diamonds and “hi-ho”ing and whatnot better than ever. The years pass, however, and Greedy gets drunk with power. He hires a bunch of old cronies from his previous dwarvery who turn the operation into an evil corporation, churning out cubic-zirconium. When Grumpy complains, he is forced to leave (something about being too old), but then spearheads a campaign that forces the greedy bastard out on his ass.

~Boxclocke

Right here!

Poor Roy... erm... I mean Grumpy... The second prize is Tinkerbell. You can see the little fairy here:

This one was quite sought after, but the ultimate winner was "MM" with his/her entry that really dissected the meaning behind the names of the other Dwarves...

The name of the eighth dwarf? That would be "Mood Swing". What the hell am I talking about? Well, six of the dwarfs (Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy, and Sleepy) rebelled against Doc because he was the only one of them that didn't represent a mood/state of mind. So, after they took his glasses they threw him in a hole and let him die painfully and slowly. Once they completed their objective, they got together and well . . . they experimented.

They stole a girl from the local hooters located in a tree and had a mass orgy with her. Weeks later the girl came to them revealing she was pregnant . . . And, since no one knew whose kid it was, they named it mood swingy, only because that's what they all are, moods. Except combined they just assumed it'd be one f*cked up baby.

Aaaaaand it was.

- MM (Pleeease Email Me Back If I Won) ;-)

Congratulations! Thanks to all who entered and a special thanks to Mr. Kracov for giving away these awesome pieces of art! Now I must get some rest so I won't be a zombie tomorrow... damn 6:30am flights. Until next time, this is Quint bidding you all a fond farewell and adieu.
