To Kong or To Hobbit, that is the Question

You have all heard the rumours about Peter Jackson and THE HOBBIT, not to mention the rumours about Peter Jackson and KING KONG. Both of these projects have peaked the ears of all of us geeks. I'm dying to hear more on them. But... BUT, I do know from reading the NEW ZEALAND HERALD the other day, that WETA (that's Peter's digital effects company) is looking to increase their digital artist from 14 to 60 for a project to begin later this year!!! Hmmmmm. I have heard from others in the Australian and New Zealand front of film making that The Hobbit is to begin production in December! HOWEVER, no casting has happened that I know of. I have also not heard of the script floating around at any stage. Now, when King Kong was stalled at Universal, the rumours were that it had been stalled for a summer 1999 release, which would mean it needed to get a start soon. So what is it? Which project is the elusive Peter Jackson going to go with. Inquiring minds like mine wanna know NOW!!! That's right we're big babies that can't wait no more!!! Well, I'm gonna go see Evil Dead 2 tonight at the Texas Union, YIPEE!!!
