Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with news of yet another remake on the books, this time it's Neil LaBute's take on the culty cult flick WICKER MAN. That flick was out of this world weird and Neil LaBute doing a remake is even weirder still. Here's hoping Ms. Sobieski gets the role of the chick that walks around naked and fucks walls and Mrs. Burstyn gets a creepy May Day cultist, not vice versa! Leelee Sobieski and Ellen Burstyn are joining Nicolas Cage in Neil LaBute's indie "The Wicker Man," produced by Millenium Films, Equity Pictures and Emmett/Furla Films. A remake of a 1973 British horror film, "Wicker Man" centers on a police officer (Cage) who is investigating the disappearance of a girl in a small cultlike community. Sobieski plays a barmaid who is Cage's confidant. Burstyn plays the head of the cult. The film is shooting in Vancouver.
