Here's a quickie look at THE CUBE a new sci-fi flick from across the pond, I'll let Roy tell you all about it...
John McLane here. I'm vacationing in L.A. with Holly and the kids and I decided before I happen to run into any terrorists, I'd better go check out the new flick "CUBE" which is in limited release in NY & LA.
I'm not going to spoil a thing. In fact I'll barely shed any light on the plot.
CUBE is directed by Vincenzo Natali. I think it's his first full length feature. After I saw the flick, I liked it so much I did an Alta Vista search.
Anyway, the movie could be described as THX1138 meets Hellraiser meets an episode of ST:TNG. What I reveal about the plot you know in the first minute anyway. People are trapped inside a strange type of prison/maze. They have to figure out how to escape.
It has some extra gory scenes that make a fan of 80's movies like myself cheer!! YAY!!!!
I give it a 9, only because I wanted the end to go a little differently ,. but you might like the end more than me.
There , that's all you need to know. Trust me, it's good!!!!!!!!! The less you know, the better!
Oh yeah, after I left the theatre I happened to be eating at TacoBell when terrorists decided to attack.. Yippee Kay Aye!!
