Hey folks, Harry here... Sorry for the late notice - but stuff kept shuffling around making life erratic here... BUT - Tuesday... this TUESDAY - AICN has two killer screenings for ya. And technically - you could make both!
First - there's CHUMBSCRUBBER at 7pm at the DOBIE THEATER. How do you get tickets? Well that's easy! Monday (tomorrow or today depending on what time you read this) at PEDAZO CHUNK VIDEO (2009 SOUTH FIRST STREET) beginning at 5pm you can pick up your free pass for the very special screening - which will have both the Director Arie Posin and Producer Bonnie Curtis of the film there to perform for your pleasure. They sing and dance and tell very funny jokes. I know, I got to meet and chat with both of them during SXSW earlier this year. Bonnie has wonderful Spielberg stories - nothing scandalous - but good stories still! And the movie is very very good. Check out my review here!
Then - after that screen - run like a madman to the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown - for a free screening of OLDBOY at 9:45pm. To get in free Click here and fill out your evite and then you're good to go. I know, I know... OLDBOY is coming to DVD this month - but Tim League and I felt that it should have another theatrical run here in town - as it was barely here at all the first time - and so now you'll get to see it with proper trailers and enjoy the movie with a gorgeous print the way the film very first was seen in the United States... AT THE ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE DOWNTOWN!!!!
Enjoy the films - compliments of AICN and the DOBIE and ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE!!!
