Hey folks, Harry here with a neat peek at EMPRESS CHUNG, the latest Korean anime, and one that seems to be headed in a radically different direction from WONDERFUL DAYS - which I dug the visuals on, but found the story a tad lacking... but damn those visuals were hot. Not so sure about the "cut animal sidekicks" but I love the design of the main characters. Let's keep an eye on this one.

Sure the animation was great I guess, but I thought it was a really clunky sci-fi story and had the standard super realistic character designs.
For some reason South Korea seems to be unwilling or unable to make more basic, cuter and simpler character designs like popular Japanese titles like Dragonball or Cardcaptor Sakura.
Well this film from the animators behind "The Simpsons" might be as close as we get.
Now this animaton is gorgeous. It's based on an old folktale. From what I hear it has a Disneyesque plot, complete with cartoony sidekicks. So nothing revolutionary
BUT WHO CARES!!!!!!!! Look at those characters!!!!!!!!
