Last weekend, I spent an afternoon reading MAKE LOVE! THE BRUCE CAMPBELL WAY, his odd Hollywood satire in which he’s the main character and in which all sorts of real Hollywood figures show up. Now it looks like Bruce is going to stick with this sort of post-modern self-referential shtick for an upcoming film. Check this out:

On the 11th I went to a screening for Bruce Campbell's the "Man With The Screaming Brain", Bruce himself introduced the movie and talked about his career and made fun of everybody in Hollywood, it was great and everybody laughed their ass off. In the intro he said in the fall he's going to start shooting a movie where he plays himself and a monster starts killing people in this small town where he is staying and somebody has the idea to get the guy from the Evil Dead movies to fight the monster, but even more people die when he shows up since he's never used a chainsaw or a shotgun. He also said he will return to the Evil Dead movies when Sam Raimi stops making wheelbarrows of money. As far as Bubba-Nosferatu is concerned, he said the studio was bought by Sony and he basically said "Don't hold your breath for it."
The actual movie "Man With The Screaming Brain" was really cheesy but very entertaining and fun, exactly what it was meant to be. It was a lot like "The Man with Two Brains" but with Bruce Campbell antics and Bulgarians. Lot's of funny shit. Anyway it was great to finally see the legend that is Bruce Campbell.
