News on Man On The Moon

Here's more information that a lot of people are dying to see, Milos always seems to deliver. So here's the latest from the eyes of one who saw it...

Straight out....call me by no other name than my real one...Ken Young.

I am a current student at Cal State Long Beach and lately I have been seeing a lot of Jim Carrey and the filming of his new film, "Man on the Moon", which is the story of Andy Kaufman. Most of the scenes are shot near the Carpenter Theatre building and the famous Pyrimid (seen in deleted scens of Starship Troopers). They are passing off the campus as Texas A&M, plus it is cheaper than to go on location. Carrey has been seen in full 70's attire, with his naturally grown-out long lockes. At first I thought he was an 'over the hill' student from the past, desperately trying to get his bachelors degree before the turn of the century. Believe me...you know who these people are if you attended college.

Anyhow, today I was leaving class and passing by the Pyrimid, when I saw the coolest thing- a gigantic DISCO BALL! I am talking a ball that is about 5-7 feet in diameter (probably to be used in a wrestling scene or something at the pyrimid?). There were 2 studio hands guarding it and keeping pretty much to themselves about the info. I asked them if it was for the film and they said," Uhhh, I think it is for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja movie?" Oh come on!!!! What kind of a lie is that.......seriously?! My grandma and her tube-top has more balls than that and can lie much better. Well, if anyone cares about this film...I will obtain photographs of the "ball" and a few Carrey shots, within the next few weeks.......since filming is still going on. If anyone is in the Long beach area, stop by and have a look for yoursleves on Carrey's new style, its hilarious.
