Saturday's JUSTICE LEAGUE Reviewed!! The Cadmus Arc Heats Up For America!!

I am – Hercules!!

The “Justice League” episode cablecast tonight on the Cartoon Network turned up in Canada about a month ago. Two of our cousins in the Great White North submitted reviews.

“Solo4357” says:

What's it called?
"Question Authority"

What's it about?
The Question discovers a secret that threatens to shake the very foundations of the Justice League.

What's the big deal?
The big deal is that this is the beginning of what appears to be a 5 episode arc of what I would call "The Cadmus Wars."

I assume from the title it stars the Question?
Yup. The faceless wonder appears to be dating the Huntress. Their dates are interesting to say the least. And might I say that anything that uses Amy Acker in any way shape or form will get an extra star.

So who else is dating?
Looks like Supes and Lois are getting serious. But she is having some serious misgivings with the JLU's actions of late.

Anything else of note?
Captain Atom and Supes take out some Apokolips creature just before his date with Lois. Captain Atom however gets re-commisioned by the navy.

So he leaves the JLU?
That'd be telling.

What does the Question find?
He finds terabytes worth of data detailing Superman's (Justice Lord version) taking out President Luthor. So he decides to kill Luthor to prevent it.

Whoa. Didn't see that coming.
Luthor apparently did. Or at least is prepared. His cancer is not only gone, he seems to be quite strong.

What's good?
The conspircacy coming to a head. Continuity continuity continuity. Finally some resolution with why Emil switched sides. Luthor's real plan. Huntress. The brutality of questioning the Question. (Yes, I get the irony.) Question's ratchteting up the crackpotness.

What's not so good?
How do they have a tape of the Justice Lord's Superman burning the parallel universe's Luthor? Cliffhanger ending. Otherwise, not much. This season has shown a slow decline in the JLU's motives. They are the good guys, but there is certainly reason for the suspicion of the government. I'm left eagerly awaiting the next installment.

“Solo4357’s” rating for “Justice League” 4.9?

*****

“Doctor Finger” says:

What's it called?
Question Authority, written by Dwayne McDuffie and directed by Dan Riba.

What's it about?
The Question, with the Huntress, search for answers about Cadmus.

So does the "World's Creepiest Couple" dig up any dirt on Cadmus?
Oh yeah.

What kind of dirt?
Justice Lord Superman brain-frying President Luthor kind of dirt.

What else?
Plot lines stretching back to the first episodes of JLU and beyond intersect in this story, with surprising results.

What's good?
The relationship between The Question, The Huntress and the rest of the League. The epic, seasons long story arcs finally beginning to crystallize. "A magic bullet forged by the Illuminati", The top notch action scenes, "Is this your idea of a date?", Revelation after revelation, "So, how do you want to do this?" May be the best episode of the series to date.

What's bad?
Nothing, except this great episode won't air in the US for at least a month.
