Update! As of 12:46am CST, after about 10 minutes, all 5 copies have been nabbed. Keep an eye out for more contests in the near future!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a little giveaway for you good folks. Anchor Bay has provided me with 5 DVDs of their upcoming release of Don Coscarelli's KENNY & CO.

Now, this is the film Coscarelli did right before PHANTASM in the mid-'70s and features roles starring A. Michael Baldwin (now a fellow Austinite, by the way) and Reggie Bannister who both jumped from KENNY & CO. on to PHANTASM, a much more well known film from Coscarelli. I had the good fortune of finding this film about 5 years ago and it's a blast. It's rough, low budget, but so incredibly heartfelt and natural. It's as good a look at the lives of a group of kids learning solid life lessons as anything else in the genre.

Now Anchor Bay is finally putting it out on DVD. It comes out next Tuesday, but you have a chance to pick up your copy for free. Like I said above, Anchor Bay has given us 5 copies of this hidden '70s gem to giveaway to you good folks.

Instead of doing something super creative, I'm going to go the easy way and give a copy to the first 5 people to email me with the subject line KENNY & CO. DVD CONTEST at quint@aintitcool.com . MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR NON-PO BOX SHIPPING ADDRESS! I'm sorry for not making this more fun, but I just spent the last 2 days wrapped up in the hell of missed connections (thanks United!) and the flaming pit that O'Hare turned into for me. I'm wiped, so this is me being lazy with this contest.

It's still well worth the time. This DVD has a behind the scenes doc with interviews with the cast and crew and a commentary track by Don Coscarelli, Michael Baldwin and (producer) Paul Pepperman. Good luck!
