Hey guys, Quint here with some grim news. Anne Bancroft has died of Cancer. I hope Harry and/or Father Geek comes in to do this up right as I only know her from her most famous roles, that of the seductive Mrs. Robinson in Mike Nichols' classic THE GRADUATE and her Academy Award winning role in THE MIRACLE WORKER.
This article is more of an outlet for you guys to talk about this woman and her career in the talkbacks below. She was a great contributor to cinema as well as theater. And hell... she was married to Mel Brooks for the last 40 plus years, so she had to have been one of the coolest ladies to have ever graced this planet.
I'd like to at least put forth this quote from her that I found while looking her filmography up on IMDB.
"Life is here only to be lived so that we can, through life, earn the right to death, which to me is paradise. Whatever it is that will bring me the reward of paradise, I'll do the best I can."
She has more than earned that reward. My thoughts are with her family, friends and fans.
