Hey folks, Harry here - and it seems that the key to BASIC INSTINCT 2's promotional campaign is going to be ACTUAL FUCKING in the movie! Oh - but lest you think you'll see Sharon Stone getting boned - it seems they're casting body doubles all Angie DRESSED TO KILL style! Well, when i was a child and saw that shower scene with Miss Angie - my heterosexuality was born... Maybe this will birth some new fetish. My question is... Is Rob Bottin back for viscious neck injuries?
Guys,
A couple of things, firstly Basic Instinct 2 had some interesting developments last week at Pinewood. They had a casting for body doubles for the male lead character played by David Morrissey and I presume they had the same for Sharon Stone too. A friend of mine (the one I invited Drew to come and see while he was in London but ignored my mail!) went along as he happens to be enlisted with the same model agency the production are using. When it was his turn the casting director asked him if he would be happy doubling for Morrissey's nude scenes, engaging in simulated sex, for which he replied Yes. Then he was asked if he minded performing ACTUAL penetrative sex on camera. The answer was No so he is doubting he'll get the call, however considering this is a London agency its presuming they'll have plenty of Yes replies from East End models.
He has gone to a number of nude castings, as indeed I have a few times when I was an extra and I have never known of the possibility of having actual sex, presumably with Sharon Stones double and not Stone herself. Its always reiterated the sex will be simulated. Considering the hype here that 9 Songs received for showing penetrative sex, this may be how they plan to sell Basic Instinct 2 otherwise it will always be in the shadow of the first movie. Things can change as they have only barely started production but this is definately unusual.
By the way, former Liverpool and England footballer Stan Collymore has a cameo role playing a sex pest footballer playboy. Collymore WAS an actual sex pest playboy and he was caught in the act of 'dogging' (ill explain what this is if you dont know the term!) and violence against his partners. This may be played as a sly joke methinks!
Regards,
Marc
