Hey folks, Harry here... I don't know about you, but I friggin love the original HITCHER. I love Rutger Hauer as the scum of the earth. He was fantastic opposite Harrison Ford in BLADE RUNNER, he absolutely owned opposite Stallone in NIGHTHAWKS.. and what the hell all those Verhoeven flicks and especially his Peckinpah turn in THE OSTERMAN WEEKEND. For me, in THE HITCHER - in many ways it was my favorite delicious character role by Rutger. Not to degrade C. Thomas Howell's work in the film, I really did enjoy his work, but only because his gosh gee whiz everyday American dweeb on the road being hit with two fists of Rutger on the road... Well it was delicious. Now - if you replace C. Thomas Howell with a hot as hell Hollywood fantasy like Jessica Biel - who on earth do you have degrade her? Mickey Rourke? ME? You? Who?

as u probably read in Variety today, Michael Bay's camp is doing a remake of "The Hitcher". As Bay states, he's considering turning the C.Thomas Howell character - the hero, I guess - into a woman this time around.
Guess which sizzling piece of ass might be running from the malicious hitch-hiker?!.......Jessica Biel.
Found a bit on the 'Superficial' website (http://www.thesuperficial.com/archives/000826.html) about it, and I guess it makes sense : Biel didn't "Texas Chainsaw" with Michael Bay....and, well, she's got some pull with the youngies.
I, for one, will be lining up to see it/her!
