There's a casting call for American's living in Europe

Living near Luxembourg? Want to be in the movies? Here's your chanch expatriot geeks. You may just get to rumble with Roy himself, and if not maybe the Highlander.

Harry, I know that your website has a very broad readership, so I thought I'd pass this bit of information on to you which may be of interest to any of your readers who are members of the American military community in Europe. I got this information from Wednesday's European edition of the Stars and Stripes newspaper.

Lynx Productions, a film production company based in Luxembourg, is looking for Americans, mostly men, and preferably from the American military community in Europe, for 10-15 speaking parts (playing cops and computer programmers) and for 300 to 400 extras, in an upcoming movie being filmed in Luxembourg City, entitled "New World Disorder", starring Rutger Hauer. I haven't heard anything about this movie before seeing this story, but apparently the movie is set in the Silicon Valley, and Hauer plays a detective chasing cybercriminals of some sort. They are also looking for an American female to play a character by the name of Amethyst Rains from San Jose, California, who is described in the S&S article as owning "a nightclub, sports a tatoo and maybe wears a few too many earrings" and "a bit dangerous". The movie is due to be released sometime next year. S&S also reported that once New World Disorder filming is completed, Lynx will be needing extras for a second movie starring Christopher Lambert, also to be filmed in Luxembourg City. Filming for this second movie is scheduled to begin sometime in late October, early November.

S&S says that if anyone is interested, they should contact David Claikens of Lynx Productions at 00352-22-0636.
