Once again Geeks a sharp eyed local has sent us a shooting report. I really can't say this enough folks, watch your local area, many films are being shot all over the world and without your eyes and ears we would learn every little about them. The smallest bit, make that byte, of information can lead to more and big reports in the future, everything is important to someone. Now to the "setintruder"...
Hiya Harry..
I was out buying my books for the coming term over at UBC (here in Vancouver, BC) when i happened to notice a large construction crane over the outdoor pool at the UBC Aquatic Centre. After weaving myself through all the f/x trucks that were strewn about, I got to the fence and lo and behold...what a site did greet my eyes! The crane was attached to a half submerged older model Mustang (i think) that was floating in the middle of the pool. There was black tarp lining the bottom of the pool to give the water a murky look and there were stuntmen wet-suits under normal clothes swimming about. There were also other crew members in full diving gear. As well a camera crane and other fancy examples of camera rigging were being set-up.
Upon further investigation and badgering, I found out that they were prepping a scene from the upcoming feature film "Double Jeopardy" that is in its 5th week of shooting here. The main stars are Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd...unfortunately they were not on set when i was there...but were rumored to be arriving in the evening for shooting.
Call me the Setintruder...
