Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...
A couple of weeks back, there was a DEVIL’S REJECTS screening that several sites were invited to. I sent Obi-Swan to cover it, and he had a blast.
Now, all of the sites who went have been given a new clip from the film to share with you guys, so I thought I’d have Obi-Swan introduce it properly for you:
I’ve had about a week or so since seeing THE DEVIL’S REJECTS to calm my ass down. Funny thing is, I can’t. I’d go so far to say that I’m evangelical about this movie. The fact that I can’t just run down to the theater or pop in a DVD has practically made me rabid to see it again.
This clip comes about halfway through the movie. It only begins to hint at the stark horror Rob Zombie orchestrates this time out. His style is effortless and natural. There's no rapid cutting or gimmicky film stock changes. It's just confident, raw filmmaking. I almost wish this clip went on a little longer, because what happens next is friggin’ insane. The finale to the scene had me cheering.
