The New Star Wars Insider arrived to the household of that cool Toy R Us giraffe this morning, and like a good giraffe the super cool spy looked up the cool news. There are just a couple of new pics, but as of yet I have not received them. Maybe soon, who knows maybe those theforce.net guys'll get em.
From interview with Rick McCallum (producer):
1. Film is currently called Episode 1, and won't be named until production finished.
2. Terence Stamp plays Chancellor of the Galactic Senate.
3. Episode 1 revolves around Neeson's character. "Liam is playing a Jedi Knight who sets much of the story in motion and we want to keep everything surrounding him a surprise. But, I will tell you this: Liam is bringing a presence and nobility to the character that few actors could hope to achieve."
From interview with Lucas:
1. Williams will be doing the score.
2. Fans expect to see trailer in December of 1998. About six months before film comes out.
3. About 1/3 of Episode 1 takes place on Tatooine.
4. The whole story is composed of 6 episodes, not 9 as rumored at other places.
5. Nothing very serious has been going on with the casting of the older Anakin as of yet.
6. No pre-production or design work of any consequence has been done yet on the second and third films.
7. On Indiana Jones IV w/Spielberg: "We talk about it once in a while."
