AICN/Cinematheque Screening Of CONSTANTINE In LA On Valentine

Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...

It’s beginning to look like it’s going to be a busy year for AICN screenings in LA, and we’re working hard to keep ‘em coming. Thanks to the way timing works out, we’re now doing two of them only a week apart. I told you already about our screening on the 7th of February at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles. That one’s STEAMBOY, the new film from Otomo, the director of AKIRA.

Now I’m pleased to announce that director Francis Lawrence will be joining us for a Q&A immediately following our screening of CONSTANTINE. I’ve worked hard to make sure this one came together, and I’m dying to see it with you guys. I’ve heard a lot of great things, and I’ll admit... I love the trailer. I’m not a huge HELLBLAZER reader, so I’m sort of walking into the movie cold. You guys come out and let’s talk about the adaptation process with the filmmaker afterwards. And if you're worried about selling this one to your sweetie as a Valentine's Day film, come on... what could be better than a horror movie with Keanu Reeves? Plenty of excuses to squeeze her during the movie, and you can always enjoy the Rachel Weisz eye candy.

If you’ve never been to the Egyptian, you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s a great theater with a long history, and the American Cinematheque are the best people in LA to work with on this sort of thing. Dennis Bartok, the head of programming, works his ass off to book great stuff all year long, and the publicity team is tireless in getting the word out. CLICK HERE for details on how you can get your tickets to join us at the event, and while you’re there, check out the rest of their amazing programming. I may try to head down to the theater for INSIDE DEEP THROAT tonight, but no matter what, I’ll see all of you there at these upcoming screenings!!

"Moriarty" out.
