Ahoy, maties! Quint here with some interesting talk about who's going to join Keith Richards in the Pirate Daddy Club for PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN 2 & 3. As far as I know, this isn't official yet, but it seems Stellan Skarsgard is talking pretty openly about playing Orlando Bloom's father and it makes some sense. I dig Skarsgard and think he's got a great face for a pirate, although Keith and Johnny working together is what's going to make these next two movies, methinks. Don't know if you already know this, but today Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet published an interview with actor Stellan Skarsgård (Exorcist: The Beginning). Apperantly Stellan is cast as Orland Bloom's chatracter's father, Bootstrap Bill, in "Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3". Stellan commented the role saying: "I've been promised at least one good sword fight". The article also mentioned the undertilte of the first sequel: "Pirates of the Caribbean: Treasures of the lost abyss".
