Learn When Fox Airs Its 1st New FAMILY GUY Since 2/14/02!!

May 1, 2005!!

I am – Hercules!!

Announcement came down on Martin Luther King Day at one of those junket thingies TV publicists are always mounting this time of year.

Curiously, this isn’t the show’s only lengthy hiatus from Fox, which broadcast no new episodes between Aug. 1, 2000 and July 11, 2001.

To judge from the email and the chatter in talkback, a major chunk of our readership thinks “Family Guy” the runniest dogshit on seven planets, while another big chunk think it a miracle broadcast by Jesus directly from Heaven.

“Guy” advocates are always asking my view on the show, and these conversations always end badly. For the record, the better episodes offer their share of clever bits, but made me wait though sooooooo many listless and lazy gags I had to bail. Were I an 11-year-old stoner, I likely could not get enough “Family Guy” between my “Grand Theft Auto” sessions; as it is I think I’ll stick with “South Park,” “The Venture Bros.” and pre-’64 Daffy Duck.

What think you, AICN readers? Should we post something for every new episode or ignore this show forever? Take up valuable bandwidth (and put that sweet sweet talkback cash in Herc’s pocket) with your predictions and reactions.
