Our wacky brit friend, Dennis Moore found this piece in an obscure (to the eyes of the rest of the world) source an interview with George Clooney which contained the following answers about where BATMAN 5 is right now. The interview was carried out by John Highfield and carried by a group of regional newspapers in the north of England, called United Provincial News.
ONLY six months ago he was the hottest thing to hit Hollywood since the Towering Inferno, but is the George Clooney heat wave already beginning to cool? The makers of his latest movie hope it isn't - The Peacemaker promises to be this autumn's big autumn blockbuster. The same was said of major summer release Batman & Robin, yet somehow the latest adventure for Gotham City's Caped Crusader - with George making his debut in the role - failed to match up to expectations. "Warners made some money and I'd never done a film that was very big internationally before but I'd be lying if I didn't say it was a disappointment in a lot of ways and there's been no talk of another one," he admits. "It's gone very quiet over at Warners, you know." That said, if Warners were interested in a return to Gotham City, there's a possibility they could lure George back to the part. "If we did something a little different," he says. "I'd be very interested in doing one which goes back to the original comic book and the story of a man who gets up in the morning and has to decide whether he's gonna be good or evil. Of course, I don't know whether you'd sell a lot of toys that way!"
