AICN Screenings In LA! 2001 MANIACS And A Mystery Film! First Details Here!!

Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...

I didn’t want to do this too early and have everyone miss the announcement during the holidays, so since people are starting to roll back into town today, I figured it was time to start doing some screenings in LA again and telling you how to get tickets.

First up, we’re going to be co-presenting a special advance screening of 2001 MANIACS with Fangoria. I’m excited to be hosting a screening with Tony Timpone. He’s a good guy who I always enjoy running into in Montreal at the FanTasia Festival, and fer pissakes... it’s Fangoria. I was reading that magazine when it was 12 years old. Co-presenting a gory homage to H.G. Lewis with them is a no-brainer.

We’ve been writing about this film for almost four years now, ever since Quint first reviewed the script. Both writer/director Tim Sullivan and producer Eli Roth have been friends to AICN for a while, and we’re excited to help them kick off this film, the first picture released by new horror label Raw Nerve, in style. If you want to be part of the evening, check this out:

FREE tix to FANGORIA and Ain't It Cool News' Los Angles special advance screening of 2001 MANIACS.

Be the first to see 2001 MANIACS, starring Robert Englund, in director Tim Sullivan's inventive remake of Hershell Gordon Lewis' cult horror classic TWO THOUSAND MANIACS!

Raw Nerve, Velvet Steamroller, BloodWorks, Fangoria and Ain't It Cool News invite you and a guest to see the eagerly awaited 2001 MANIACS at a Los Angeles theatre on Wednesday, January 12 at 7:00pm and we are giving away 150 tickets exclusively to our website visitors.

Best of all, Robert Englund and director Tim Sullivan will be watching the film with you.

2001 MANIACS is produced by Chris Tuffin, Brett Nemeroff and Raw Nerve principals Eli Roth, Boaz Yakin and Scott Spiegel.

RSVP now to this address for tix and theatre location. But hurry! Seats are limited and expected to go fast.

The lucky winners will receive a confirmation email*. If you do not receive a confirmation email, we're sorry but you did not respond quickly enough.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2001 MANIACS screening on Wednesday, January 12.

* Please arrive early. Admittance to the screening is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The second screening I’m doing is one of my special AICN Sneak Peeks with the American Cinematheque. I love holding screenings at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. It’s such a great place, with such a rich history. As with earlier AICN screenings, I’m not going to tell you what film I’m showing. I’ll just say it’s a release from a major studio that will be coming out later this year. And if you want to see it first, you’ll get a chance February 7th. You can go to the official website now for general details, but they don’t have their February calendar up yet. If you want, you can contact them about tickets, or you can wait for my more detailed announcement in the next couple of weeks. Just keep the date free. It’ll be worth it.

Between these two screenings, a couple of possible set visits, a trip to Argentina, and two new script gigs, it’s going to be a very busy first two months here at the Labs. Hope to see as many of you as possible at these screenings as a great way to ring in the New Year together. Until then...

"Moriarty" out.
