Chris Isaak in THE FOG remake' Michelle Williams Vs. Michael Myers'

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some interesting rumors for two upcoming extensions of John Carpenter films. First up is a tip about possible casting of Chris Isaak in the remake of THE FOG... I suppose he'd more than likely be playing the Tom Atkins role of Nick Castle (named after friend of Carpenter and the original man behind the mask in HALLOWEEN). Here's the email I got:

KNOWLES... Hope you had a great Xmas.

Went to FYE last week and had Chris Isaak sign my Xmas album.

He was great -polite, chummy, funny. Asked him about the TV show, and he said he's done with it, that it took too much of a toll on him and those early mornings that they'd have to get up and shoot just didn't fare well with him

I asked about his movies. He said the John Waters film he did will be out on DVD soon (did it even get a cinema release?) and then he said he might have a small role in a new version of an old horror movie called Fog. Then he made a comment like, "other than that I'm as free as drinking water".

'The First Timer'

Next I got another actor run-in turned scoop for you guys, this time involving Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams and the possibility of her fighting against Michael Myers... again... as directed by her DAWSON'S CREEK buddy, Kevin Williamson. Here's the good word:

Merry Christmas HARRY/MORI/QUINT/HERC/LAT/FATHER GEEK! (forget anyone?)

I may have a scoop for you. Whether you're interested or not depends on your fondness for crappy umpteenth sequels to horror series that should've closed down its doors YEARS ago.

I met (second time actually, first time was at an Anti-War Rally) Heath Ledger and his girlfriend Michelle Williams last night at Arq, in Flinders St Sydney . She came over for "Christmas" she says.

My friend and I talked to them both at for all of 3 minutes and 50 seconds, but they were nice enough.

Heath said he's got a new film from terry giliam coming out next and brokeback mountain, and Michelle said she might be working on a new Halloween sequel with a guy that use to do Dawson's Creek, and added that she's got a role in Brokeback Mountain as well (that a scoop too?).

Anyway, that's it - have a great New Year Guys!

Sam

Keep in mind none of these are confirmed, but they sound perfectly right to me. Michelle Williams returning to HALLOWEEN? Why not? I mean, we already suffered through Busta Rhymes in that godawful HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION aka MichealMyers.com. Williams returning is definitely a step up from that. Isaak's got a good real man, un-prettyboy persona, so I'm happy if that's the direction the casting is going on the flick. I hope it's as good as the original! Gotta love classic Carpenter! What do you folks think?
