Hey folks, Harry here... The original AMITYVILLE HORROR was one of those movies that I saw as a young impressionable young boy that really, seriously fucked with me. I could handle Romero's Zombies... I could party with Hooper's BBQ Family here in Texas. But that fucking house. I lived in a house that looked too much like it. I chopped wood with my father in the backyard... and if you've ever met my dad, you have probably thought that Father Geek was just a half twitch from being an axe murderer. But that movie... it made the creaking of my ol Victorian house mean things. The narrow stairwells... floorboards that didn't always make a noise... but sometimes they did. Flies... And that lullabye... Fuck that music man. That was some creepy shit.

Now they've gone and remade it. And the trailer is creeping me out... AGAIN. So not fair. I thought I'd moved past my Amityville fears. But here they are... all creeping back up in my life.
