Here's a cool report on the state of animation on several animated productions along with the drawn images of characters from PRINCE OF EGYPT along with their respective voices-faces. Great work Sir Moggy! Thanks again...

Sir Moggy here from Stay Tooned Creations at http://www.staytooned.com , with a long full featured animation report. Although your animation accounts are fairly extensive, I'm here to fill in a few gaps.

The first piece of news comes from Prince of Egypt. I've sent a very interesting character-to-voice artist image from Dreamworks Animation. The image includes the images of the 10 major characters. Its some cool b/w pencil shots of the characters. The image is attached or you can get it at: http://www.staytooned.com/film/prince3.jpg

Next up, is news on the sequel to Heavy Metal, namely titled, F.A.K.K.² (Federation-Assigned Ketogenic Killzone). I haven't seen much info on your site lately, so I figured I'd run it by you. The film will be produced by TriStar Pictures and has a release date of late Spring/Early Summer 99. The main character voice is porn-star Julie Strain and instead of being a long string of bizarre stories, like the original, this one is ONE long bizarre story about invaders from another planet that kidnaps Julie (the main character's) sister. As you may know, the movie was suppose to come out a few years ago, but because of the lack of money, its been put on halt. Its funny because the minimum budget for the sequel is only $15 million.

Ok, now for some independent animated feature news. I've never heard you speak of Bill Plympton's (any serious animation fan is familiar with him) newest full featured animated film, "I Married a Strange Person." The film has been crossing the planet in animation festivals, but on August 28th, the film will premiere in Los Angelos and New York. It will then open up across the nation is small-run theatres (mostly the type of theatres that show artsy of independent films) shortly after that. I've seen the film already, and its absolutely hilarious. Sex, violence, manipulation; this film has it all. It'll be rated R for sure, but the gratuitous sex scene (you gotta see this) may give it a NC-17 rating, but I doubt it. I have some screengrabs and pencil tests images at the following address: http://www.staytooned.com/film/married.html

Also you may be familiar with the cult puppet animated filmmakers, the Brothers Quay, who are making another film, this one titled, "The Mechanical Infanata." Production will start in the Spring of 1999 and Polish composer, Lech Jankowski, will score the film.
As Aardman Animations is now in full pre-production for their first full length animated feature, Chicken Run, sources tell me that when they are finished, plans for a fourth Wallace and Gromit film should be anticipated.
This ought to keep you drenched with animation druel for awhil
e.--
Stay Tooned,
Sir Moggy
