Info on Tom Clancy's NET FORCE'

I have heard absolutely zero about this project. Not the name, the casting, the plot... nothing. This is a first mention that I have paid attention to, so does anyone know anything else. I mean.. what with our poll on your favorite computer flick... well this is kinda significant. Though, it's been a while since anyone did anything right on screen with computers... my last fave compu-cinema was SNEAKERS... and that's been awhile... well here ya go...

I'm very unsure about specifics, but apparently the good fellows working on the new Tom Clancy flick "Net Force" were in need of a prison for a nice aciton sequence. I work for an Architectural firm in central Virginia, and we had just finished contsrutcion on a major max security facility in the area. Well, their people got together with our people, and the rest is history.

The plot of the film (what very little I heard) sounds iffy - some guy try to take over the internet. Just hope Clancy did alot of research for this...

The cool news is that a buddy of mine who works in the firm gets to be an extra for the shoot. It's apparently a break out scene, and he plays one of the SWAT team members attempting to stop the breakout. All the shooting was done at night, so he's been real tired during the day. Said the action was pretty cool alot of gun fire, and one nice big explosion blowing out the side of a sally-port (for those of you who don't know, a sally-port is a throsehold with a min. of two doors, wherein only one door can be opened at a time - think of it as an air-lock for security purposes). His claim to fame is that he's the only SWAT guy who DOESN'T carry a gun. He hauls another SWAT member off camera who had just been wounded (and you guys thought architects were geeks!) Anyway, he doesn't really like action movies, so he said it was "boring" and he got "anxious" waiting around for hours. Fool. He did get a glimpse of Scott Bakula, tho.

Crap, do I need a code name? How about Leto...
