Saturday Strongbox!! Dini JLU!! Winslet SNL!! Capital VENTURE!!

I am – Hercules!!

The best “Batman” cartoon I’ve ever seen, the Paul Dini-scripted “This Little Piggy” installment of “Justice League Unlimited,” returns to the Cartoon Network tonight. It’s a big week for Dini, who has written 70 jillion hours of toonage since 1982. He gets to see flesh-and-blood people spout his teleplay dialogue for the first time on this coming Wednesday’s installment of “Lost.”

"Justice League Unlimited": 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Cartoon Network.
"Lost": 8 p.m. Wednesday. ABC.

If you like tonight’s “JLU” and Ben Edlund’s late, lamented animated “Tick” series, have a gander tonight at “The Venture Bros.,” likely the funniest show ever created for the Cartoon Network. The channel, of course, has no idea what it has on its hands and buries the show opposite “Saturday Night Live.”

"The Venture Bros.": 11:30 p.m. Saturday, 2:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Sunday. Cartoon Network.

Speaking of SNL, there’s a new one tonight with Kate Winslet hosting to promote “Finding Neverland.” If I remember correctly, one of the Beastie Boys is the musical guest.

"Saturday Night Live": 11:30 p.m. Saturday. NBC.

By the way, the reason Coaxial News didn’t cover last week’s Ashlee Simpson installment was because we were only hours away from last Sunday’s very exciting “Whedon Fans For Kerry/Edwards” fundraiser here in Hollywood. Those who’d like to throw $25 toward the Kerry campaign and hear Joss Whedon’s 40-minute Oct. 25 conference call (featuring a number of guest stars familiar to fans of the Buffiverse) can learn how to do this by emailing:
