Here's the latest news on Star Trek 9. I'm really curious to see how this one comes out, I mean it's an odd numbered one, which by definition has to suck, but what if it doesn't? Wouldn't that be grand? I think so. It'd be nice to a real good Star Trek flick before we see Episode One. Remember when ya saw EMPIRE, then KHAN.... What a world....
Lots of news for ya here from your pal Robnhud:
1. Title IS INSURRECTION as the title was printed on the Crew Jackets and the title was also sent to the Movie's Trailer House.
2. Release date IS going to stay the 11th. Prince of Egypt and one other movie (name escapes me at the moment) were pushed back to the 18th and that would have made it a little crowded on the 18th.
3. Preliminary music work has begun. They're temp-tracking the movie now so when Jerry Goldsmith gets a look at it, he'll know what kind of music they're looking for out of him.
4. As more and more people involved with post production see the film, the opinions are that this is Patrick's BEST performance of Picard yet and that F. Murray Abraham steals the show!
5. Current running time is 1hr and 50min and that's without a lot of the FX and the credits. We're expecting to have the film trimmed down however. One scene which will most likely STAY cut, Quark's cameo scene at the very end. The opinions now is that the final scene works better without him.
That's all for now..... MORE TO COME SOON!!!!!!!
