Well, here we have a mixed review on THE AVENGERS, no spoilers and very short. It looks like I will most likely not have a chance to see THE AVENGERS before this Sunday due to the adventure to London. So here ya go...
I've just checked your website, and thought maybe you were interested of a review of the Avengers.
First of all the film is incredibly slickly made. The art director of the film have done an incredible job with the set design and the general style of the film. The plot concentrates around Ralph Fiennes, Uma Thurman and the big bad lunatic Sean Connery, here seen as a crazy weatherman. Ralph Fiennes works for the government angency, and teams up with femme fatale Uma Thurman who is a expert of different types of weather. You never know if Uma is for or against Ralph. The dialogue between Uma and Ralph is very cool troughout the film. Sean Connery is excellent as a villain, with his scottish accent and good humour. The clothing and style in the film is fantastic, the story is not exactly dull, but not very exciting. It's not as bad as it rumours, but it's not a good film. The sound is great, the special effects are quite impressive, and the actors do a good job. But the story stinks. My impression of the film was cool actors and cool design in a storyless film.
Best regards
