MAN IN SUIT is an artform... like 2D animation, marionettes, practical effects work, painted glass matte paintings, squibs, latex, rubber, remote control operated gizmos... When Orson Welles referred to Film as the best trainset a boy ever had... he was foretelling of the TOHO model land of MAN IN SUIT running rampant over models, firing rockets at him, hitting him with fireworks... swinging flying men in suits at him... There can be no bigger joy in the cinematic universe than to sit behind a camera that was recording Godzilla tearing Tokyo apart! It's one of those blissful perfect works of cinema... HOWEVER -- Watching Godzilla's tail bitchslap that fucking GINO is something akin to swimming in Barton Springs on a nice summer day with the woman you love. It's heaven, perfection, bliss upon happiness. Behold...
